Govindarāja was succeeded by his son Vākpatirāja who according to the *Pṛthvīrāja-vijaya* sent Ambāprasāda the lord (*pati*) of Āghāṭa, with his army to the abode of Yama and rent his mouth with a dagger (*churikā*).¹ Āghāṭa is modern Ahar, near Udaipur station, and was the ancient capital of the Guhilas. It is therefore certain that this Ambāprasāda is to be identified with Ambāprasād or Āmraprasād who is placed in the Guhila list of princes after Śaktikumāra (V.S. 1034 = A.D. 977).²
