It lay between the Hydraotes (Rāvi) and the Hyphasis (Bias).⁴ The name of the king, Phegelas, probably represents the Sanskrit *Bhagala*—the designation of a royal race of Kshatriyas mentioned in the *Gaṇapāṭha*.⁵
