⁴ The *Āchārāṅga Sūtra* (II. 15, § 17; S. B. E., XXII, Intro.) for instance places the *Saṁniveśa* of Kuṇḍagrāma near Vaiśālī in *Videha*. The mothers of Māhavīra and Ajātaśatru are called Videha-dattā and Vedehī (Vaidehī) respectively.
