v1.c14.s2.32

But the most substantial contribution to the establishment of frienship between the two peoples was made by the great Regent Rāma Rāja. The cruelties perpetrated by Jamashid Qutb Shāh drove his brothers from his capital. "His cruelty now excited the terror of his subjects; and his two brothers fled to Bidur, where Heidur Khan, the eldest, shortly afterwards died, and his younger brother Ibrahim fled to Beejanuggur". "When Ibrahim Kootb Shah, during his brother's lifetime, was at Beejanuggur, Ramaraj shewed him every attention and assigned for his support an estate which was at that time possessed by Ambur Khan, the Abyssinian, an officer in Ramraj's pay".⁴ This event took place when the Muhammadans had not as yet formed a coalition against their southern rivals.
