While the two accounts of Nañjuṇḍa and Gaṅga enable us to identify the *Crynmata* of Nuniz with the *Kummata* of Rāmanātha, and to solve to a great extent the question of the political situation of the south at the time of its conquest by the Muhammadans, both of which Mr. Sarma has successfully done in his *Kingdom of Kampila*, there are two facts which seem rather difficult to understand:¹
