Some religious institutions had women pupils as well. An inscription dated in the fourteenth year of Rājakēsarivarma (Āditya I) relates that there were 500 women pupils in the Jaina monastery of Vidāḷ alias Mādēvi-Ārāndimaṅgaḷam.³
