As regards the joint-activity of the Brahmans we have a record dated about A. D. 1227 which informs us that all the Brahmans of Narasimhapura which is Muduvaḍi, in order to provide for the perpetual lamp of the family god Amṛtēśvara, agreeing among themselves, created a fund as the capital.⁴
