A stone record dated about A. D. 1602 informs us that the Pāgoṇḍe blacksmith Vinnōja's (son) Kannōja, in the presence of the Pāgoṇḍe *gauḍa*, *sēnabōva*, *taḷavāra*,...potter and *āyagāra*, sold the *kāṇachi* belonging to him in Pāgoṇḍe to the blacksmith Kāmōja's son Kempa, having received from him three ga.¹
