Thus a record dated Śaka 1516 (A. D. 1594-5) informs us that Raṅgappa, son of Yatirāja Ayyangār of Turiyāṣṭhakali-gōtra, gave 110 geṭṭi varaham for providing certain offerings to the god Chennakēśava Perumāḷ at Śrīperumbūdūr, Chingleput district, on the ten days of the Mahānavami festival.¹
