*Daḷavāṇḍa*, S.K. A permanent grant of rent-free land, given for building or repairing a tank, on condition of paying one-tenth or a small share of the produce. (*E.C. V*, Int. p. 3, n. 5). According to some, the grantee pays 1/10ths of the produce. According to others, the grantee appropriates 1/10ths and pays 1/20ths to the grantor. (*B. & C.* III, p. 1495).
