*Vāram*, K. Tam. A tenure under which an equal division of the produce is made between the landlord and the tenant, the former paying the assessment to the Government. This tenure is better than *kaṇḍāya* or *kāyam-guṭṭe* because of the payment being dependent on the actual produce. (*N.*, p. 96.
