∗ श्रीशंभो: शिवराजस्य मुद्रा द्यौरिव राजते । यदंकसेविनो लेखा वर्तते कस्य नोपरि ॥ " This seal of Sambhaji, born of Shivaji, shines like the sky. What cannot his favourites overcome ? "* The seal of Kalusha runs thus :— विधिरार्थमनीषाणामवधोर्नयवर्त्मनां शेवधि: सर्व सिद्दीनां मुद्रा कलुशहस्तगा । " This seal, stamped by the hand of Kalusha, satisfies the desires of the needy, offers opportunities for the righteous and forms the source of all successful projects. Quite a number of papers with this seal have been discovered, which in addition contain pompous phrases applied to Kalusha, conveying both a religious import and an adeptness in political state-craft such as " आज्ञापत्र धर्माभिमान, कर्मकांडपरायण, दैवतैकनिष्ठाग्राहिताभिमान, सत्यसंध, समस्त- राजकार्यधुरंधर, विश्वासनिधि, कविकलाश, छंदोगामात्य. "
