The Emperor sent Akbar to invade Marwar. Battles were fought at various places. The Rathors had expelled the Mughal outposts at Mairta, Didwana, &c. These were now restored by the prince. Wherever the Rathors arrived they drove out the imperial forces, took plunder and pulled down the mosques. When the Muslim troops arrived they demolished the temples.
