In this condition, after covering 30 miles in 38 days, the miserable army arrived near Panhala (17 July 1702.)* Then the sun reappeared, after having been hidden by the clouds for 3½ months, as also had been the Moon. The remnant of the people revived. Food and porters began to come from all sides.
