∗ Seven miles east of Sahāwar and five miles west of Patiāli [Irvine in Far. Gaz. 163.] Patiāli, which has given its name to the battle in some old histories, is 22m. n.e. of Eta, 27m. due east of Marehra, and 42m. n.w. of Farrukhabad. [Ind. At. 68.] I cannot find Ram Chatauni here, but two villages Rampurah and Chaundahi.
