He met the Mahārānā of Udaipur near his capital, and then after settling the disturbed government of that State, he set out for the Deccan, leaving Rajputana at Pratāpgarh on 13th January, 1792 and reaching Ujjain, *en route* to Punā, on the 21st of that month.
