v4.c44.s2.57

Only in one sector of the battle front there had been no fighting worth speaking of. On the Maratha right Holkar’s contingent (about 4,000 strong) were attacked by the Rāthors, but were saved by reinforcements hurried up to them by Gopāl Bhāu. Then they “remained standing still” before the trenches of the Jaipur Nāgās. But De Boigne had already told off two battalions to keep the Nāgās in check, and now, freed from the struggle in his centre and left, he turned all his forces against the Nāgās and routed them by a sudden onset. It was already 9 P.M. and the last trace of resistance died out.
