We seem to have no means of elucidating the references to the victory over the Kēraḷa and the fight at Viḷiñam except by supposing that trouble from this quarter seems to have been more or less permanent and that the western country never reconciled itself to the yoke of its Pāṇḍya neighbour. It is however possible to say something on the references to the conquest of Ceylon and the victory at Kuḍamūkku over the Pallava.
