¹ Mr. Venkayya, A.S.I., 1903-4, p. 276, makes பாதமூலத்தோமும் the servants of the Pati. I have followed the analogy of the Ambāsamudram inscription in my rendering, as there seems to be no point in mentioning the servants of the Pati as trustees after mentioning the Pati himself as one.
