² The words preceding கருடராஜனை are not easy to make out. Mr. Gopinatha's text has ‘பெருவரையானிற் பின்னருக்காகிய’ and the official text reads ‘பெருவரையாணிற் பின்னருக்காகிய’ while the correct reading appears to be ‘பெருவரையாணிற் பின்னருக்காகிய’ which may recall ‘அவன் தன்னை வெற்பேற்றி’ of a few lines before.
