² Accession between March 31, and May 16, A.D. 1303. (*Indian Ephemeris*, vol. i, part ii, p. 107). Sewell doubted the historicity of this king (*I.A.*, vol. xliv, p. 252) discovered by Mr. Swamikkannu Pillai; but the discovery of a Śaka date in No. 608 of 1915 (giving Śaka 1236 = 12th year) settles the question beyond possibility of doubt. Even otherwise, Wassaf’s mention of two Sundar Pandis should have been enough to support Mr. Swamikkannu’s position in this particular.
