But there seems to be little difficulty in the way of ascribing the Kaḷugumalai record to our king. Mr. V. Rangachari seems to have misunderstood No. 43 of 1908 (see p. 1465, entry No. 250 of his *Inscriptions of the Madras Presidency*).
