Two short odes on the death of the king, though they reveal nothing of the identity of Kuḷamuṟṟam where he died or of the circumstances attending his death, are noteworthy for the quaintness of their conceits. One of them is by the gifted poetess, Mārōkkattu Nappaśalai:⁶³
