Veḷḷaṅgumaran, a Kēraḷa general of Rājāditya's forces, was present at Grāmam as early as a.d. 936,³⁷ where seven years later he constructed a stone temple to Śiva on the banks of the Peṇṇār.³⁸ Tirunāvalūr, a village near Grāmam, called Rājādittapuram till about a.d. 1140,³⁹ was the residence of Rājāditya for many years.
