The third method in which the Sōḷapuram record is dated is by describing it as the year in which Cakravartin Kannaradēva Vallabhan entered Toṇḍaimaṇḍalam after the overthrow of Rājāditya. It seems likely that this record was engraved very soon after Rājāditya's death, when the consequences of the battle of Takkōlam were not yet fully realised. By the evidence of this record the successful invasion of Kṛṣṇa took place in A.D. 949.
