141. Though ‘*tennavar*’ may mean Pāṇḍyas it seems possible that here it means only ‘kings of the south,’ an alliance between Ceylon (Mānābharaṇa) (*SII.* iii 29, l. 13), Kēraḷa and Pāṇḍya being meant.
