²³ The *praśasti* containing these events has not been traced in any inscription dated before A.D. 1236, *PK.* p. 144 *n.* 3. But the date of 142 of 1902 (A.D. 1231–2) and the *Gadyakarṇāmṛta* show clearly that they occurred about 1230–31.
