In the fifth year of Vikramacōḷa, the *mahāsabhā* of Karikāla-cōḷa-caturvedimangalam resolved to fulfil their responsibilities in regard to land-revenue due from persons who were unable to pay the taxes and from those who had emigrated elsewhere, by selling their lands in *sabhai-vilai*, public sale by order of the *sabhā*, or by making them *iraiyili dēvadānas* and, of course, getting the money equivalent from the temple treasury.⁹⁰
