A similar charter of privileges with a few variations is found in other *brahmadēya* grants, as well as in *dēvadānas*. The Tiruvālaṅgāḍu plates, for instance, convey these privileges in almost identical terms,⁴⁷ and some others like the prohibition of Īḻavas climbing up cocoanut and palm trees (for tapping them) within the area and the right to raise the bund of the village tank to its maximum height and to store in it the maximum quantity of water that it could hold. Sometimes restrictions were placed by the terms of the gift on the rights of the donee and his successors to sell or mortgage the land.⁴⁸
