An inscription of the reign of Kulōttunga I from Lālguḍi (142 of 1929) mentions the fact of the annual redistribution of village-lands (*nammūrk-karaik-kāṇi-yāṇḍu toṟum kuṟittu varugaiyālē*) and the disadvantages to agriculture resulting from the practice. Also 441 of 1912—lands held by Śāliya nagarattār of Tiruppāttuṟai.
