The temple itself forms a rectangle 340 feet long and 100 feet wide, composed of a *maṇḍapa* measuring 175 feet by 95, and a *garbhagṛha* with a square plan of 100 feet side, with a vestibule in between, the ends of which form, as in Tanjore, north and south entrances, both picturesque doorways with impressive *dvārapālakas* and approached by flights of steps, (VII, fig. 13).
