The porch to the south of the *agramaṇḍapa* is of the same type as in the Airāvateśvara; but in the place of the lion and elephant-based pillars we find simple ornamental ones. The porch itself is a multi-wheeled chariot with two elephants in front of the steps and balustrade on the east; the projecting axles are supported by rampant lions; the detachable wheels are missing. On the west of the porch is a Somāskanda shrine of an earlier time with square pilasters, petalled *idaḷ*, and bevel and tenon corbels. The part abutting the south wall of the *mahāmaṇḍapa* corresponding to the Śarabha shrine in the Airāvateśvara contains the stucco figure of a chief.
