Uddaṇḍa (A.D. 1430) from Lāṭapura on the Pālār river in Chingleput district held a prominent place in the court of Mānavikrama. He wrote the drama Mallikāmāruta modelled on Bhavabhūti's Mālatīmādhava. It is not possible to mention all the poets and works of this prolific period; but mention must be made of Chennas Nambūtiri's Tantrasamuccaya, an authoritative treatise on temple architecture, iconography, rituals and related matters.
