¹ Ἐκ δὲ τῆς Ἰνδικῆς Εὔδαμος παρεγένετο μεθ’ ἱππέων μὲν πεντακοσίων [v.l. τριακοσίων], πεζῶν δὲ τρισχιλίων [v.l. τριακοσίων], ἐλεφάντων δὲ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι· τὰ δὲ θηρία ταῦτα παρέλαβε μετὰ τὴν Ἀλεξάνδρου τελευτήν, δολοφονήσας Πῶρον [v.l. πρῶτον] τὸν βασιλέα (Diodorus, xix, 14).
