³⁰⁵ White copper, neglecting decimals, is 79 per cent. copper, 16 per cent. nickel, and 4 per cent. iron; the Bactrian coins are 77 per cent. copper, 20 per cent. nickel, 1 per cent. iron, and a little cobalt, tin, and sulphur. The other known Chinese alloys of nickel contain a good deal of zinc.
