⁵ This follows from Strabo's phrasing, xv, 686 = fr. 6: 'Α. ὁ τὰ Παρθικὰ ποιή-σας, μεμνημένος καὶ τῶν τὴν Βακτριανὴν ἀποστησάντων Ἑλλήνων. This fragment as given in *FHG* is far too long, and should stop at ὑφ' ἑαυτοῦ ἔχειν; the rest (as the sense shows) is Strabo, who is here citing Aristobulus (p. 144 n. 3).
