² Translated ‘Brampoor’ in Dow’s *Ferishta*, and transferred to the Deccan; and the pass (*bāla-ghāt*) rendered the Bālaghāt mountains of the south. There are numerous similar errors. [The Author seems to be mistaken. Dow (iii. 39) speaks of “Brampour, the capital of the Rana’s dominions.” Khāmnor is in W. Mewār, a little distance south of Nāthdwāra.]
