¹ Husain Ali and Abdu-lla Khan. ² Next to kine-killing was the article inhibiting the introduction of the Adalat, or British courts of justice, into the Rajput States, in all their treaties with the British Government in A.D. 1817–18, the very name of which is abhorrent to a native. ³ The title of Husain Ali,—as Kutbu-l-mulk (the axis of the State), was that of his brother Abdu-lla.
