identified with Śīlāditya Dharmāditya of the Valabhi dynasty, whose nephew Dhruabhaṭa was ruling over Valabhi at the time of Yuan Chwang's visit. We may, therefore, infer that Śīlāditya Dharmāditya was the original ruler of Valabhi, to which he annexed Western Malwa (or Mo-la-po); and that his nephew Dhruabhaṭa II, a contemporary of Yuan Chwang, was also in possession of Malwa with its three dependencies.
