Although Bāṇa has not described the Digvijaya of Harsha, there is a passage in the Harsha-Charita of great importance from which our statements about it derive considerable support. Bāṇa's brothers in asking him to relate to them the life of Harsha, extol the great exploits of the emperor in this manner.
