From Raṇasiṃha we come at names which are the same in all inscriptions except the first Bhīmasinha who is given as Khemsiṃ in Abu and Raṇapurā inscriptions. These kings were nearly contemporary with or immediately preceded the Abu inscription and there could have been no mistake about them. The probable date of Sāmantasiṃha is 1179 A. D. and he may have been a contemporary of Pṛthvīrāja III. Pandit Gaurishankar thinks that the amplifier or forger of the Rāsā mistook Sāmanta for Samara and thus committed the blunder of making Samarasiṃha of A. D. 1282, a contemporary of Pṛthvīrāja.
