⁴ Rapson, op. cit., p. lxvi. Pargiter gives ten years (*abdān daśa*), op. cit., p. 39, n. 28. *Matsya* has generally *aṣṭādaśa*. The ‘*aṣmaddasa*’ of some copies of *Vāyu* is not intelligible, except that it is nearer in form to *aṣṭādaśa*, and it may have been an error of the scribe.
