v1.c7.s6.80

King Gaurakṛṣṇa, during his long rule of twenty-five years from 19 B.C. to A.D. 6, presided over the disintegration of the Sātavāhana empire. How unpopular he must have been with his contemporaries and the later compilers of the Purāṇas is easily seen in the variety of epithets heaped upon him by the Purāṇas.¹ Riktavarṇa, Vikṛṣṇa, Ariṣṭakarma, and Aniṣṭakarma; such names are not given to a king without intentional significance.
