¹ It seems that Mādhavavarman I, the Viṣṇukuṇḍin king and brother-in-law of the Vākāṭaka ruler, tried to help him by attacking Tivaradeva. Tivaradeva was defeated but Chhattisgarh did not come under Vākāṭaka control.
