In his father's time his principality consisted of a few districts in the western Madhya Pradesha and in Berar. At the end of his career the Vākāṭaka empire included the whole of the Madhya Pradesha and Berar, Malwa, Northern Mahārāṣṭra, a considerable portion of the modern Hyderabad State, and portions of South Kośala or Chhattisgarh.
