v2.c15.s2.t3.97

*Gaṇapati's family.* Gaṇapati had no male issue; but he had two daughters, the elder called Rudrāmbā or Rudramadēvi and the younger named Gaṇapāmbā or Gaṇapamadēvi. The former was given in marriage to a prince of the Eastern Chālukyan lineage caled Virabhadra, and the latter to Bēta of the Kōṭa family. Gaṇapati chose his elder daughter, Rudrāmbā, as the heir apparent; and regarding her as a son, named her Rudradēva and in A.D. 1260 or a little earlier made her his co-regent.
