Then in the northern quarter the All-gods anointed him six days with the Pañcaviṁsa, and with this triplet and his yajus and these exclamations for sovereignty. Therefore, in this northern quarter, the lands of Uttara Kurus and the Uttara-Madras, beyond the Himavanta their (kings) are anointed in accordance with the action of gods (Ait. Br., VIII, 14).
