Adhirāja—Same as Karusha: the country of Rewa. It was the kingdom of Dantavakra who was killed by Krishna in Mathura (Padma P., Pātāla, ch. 35). It was conquered by Sahadeva, one of the five Pāṇḍavas (Mahābhārata, Sabhā P., ch. 30).
