Takka-deśa—Between the Bipâśâ and the Sindhu rivers. The Panjab. It was the country of the Vâhikas (Râjatarangiṇî, V, v. 150; Mbh., Karṇa, ch. 44). Same as Mada-desa (Hemchandra’s Abhidhânachintâmaṇi), and Âraṭṭa.
