Banjula—The river Manjerā, a tributary of the Godāvarī. Both these rivers rise from the Sahya mountain or Western Ghats (Matsya P., ch 113). Bañjulā is mentioned as Mañjulā in the Mahābhārata, Bhīṣma P., ch 9.
